KNDS was formed from the merger of German Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and French Nexter, creating Europe's leading land defense systems group. The company produces the Leopard 2 main battle tank and the Caesar self-propelled howitzer, both of which have become critical assets for NATO and allied forces. As Europe's only sovereign manufacturer of heavy armored vehicles at scale, KNDS is central to the continent's ability to independently equip and sustain its ground forces.
